04.04.2019: Feedback to the exhibition “Summer in the north”
The opening on 24 March 2019 was a very successful start for my exhibition “Summer in the north” in Flensburg. I’ve had wonderful feedback from my guests, enjoyed many interesting conversations and discussions, and pianist Peter Geilich and baritone Ansgar Hüning added the perfect soundtrack to this marvelous day.

07.12.2018: Exhibition at Restaurant 'Piemonteca'
For three months, starting Friday 07 December 2018, you can see 22 of my paintings in the restaurant "Piemonteca" in the "Altenbrücker Mühle" in Overath-Steinenbrück. I'm very happy about the opportunity to present my paintings once again in the wonderful surroundings Simone Geuer and Heinz Lux have created in their restaurant.
Have you been there before? I can highly recommend it! But of course you can also just drop by to take a look at my paintings.

Exhibition in Denmark
From 18 August to 12 November, some of my new paintings will be on display in the Midtjyllands Kunst Center, along with those of two other artists.
My paintings will be shown in the much sought-after “Black Room”. This special exhibition room is completely black, only the paintings are illuminated. A very impressive sight for sure.
For the opening on 18 august 2018, 2 pm, I will of course be there myself.

02.06.2017: Bliss under glass
In the Glaspavillon Rheinbach you can currently get into vacation mode.
This weekend saw the opening of the exhibition “Impressionistische Landschaften im Glaspavillon” (Impressionistic landscapes in the glass pavilion). The mayor of Rheinbach, Mr. Stefan Raetz, welcomed the numerous visitors with a brief introduction.
The paintings by artist Ute Herrmann feature southern landscapes, blooming orchards from the surroundings of Rheinbach and long distance views, time and again. The visitors were enthralled by the emotions expressed in the paintings, their eyes travelling over exuberant colours and the breezy vastness of the landscapes.
The exhibition is provided in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the city of Rheinbach and will be open until Sunday 18 june 2017. Opening hours are on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Due to the glass walls of the pavilion and the transparent mesh divider screens, all paintings are also visible from the outside, so that a detour will be worth your while even out of hours.

07.04.2017: Exhibition in the Glaspavillon Rheinbach

“Ute Herrmann - impressionistische Landschaften im Glaspavillon” (Impressionistic landscapes in the Glaspavillon) which will take place on Sunday 28 May 2017 at 3 pm.
Rays of sunlight fall through the canopy trees, magically painting luminous spots everywhere. Discover wonderful landscapes as seen through the painter’s eyes.
Stefan Raetz, mayor of the city of Rheinbach, will welcome you with a brief introduction.

Starting Saturday 11 March, I’m going to exhibit 24 of my paintings at Cafe Eigel in Cologne.

09.09.2016: The lions are loose
From 8 to 17 september, the "Rhein Berg Galerie" in Bergisch Gladbach is going to exhibit the lions created on the occasion of the fundraising art event of the Lions Club in Bergisch Gladbach/Bensberg.
On sunday, 11 september, the gallery will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. If you would like to purchase a lion, you can choose one of the designs and place an order with the Lions Club.
All proceeds will be donated to charity purposes.

08.09.2016: Adenau in high spirits
From its inception during Adenau’s town festival, my exhibition in the Eifel in the beautiful Johanniter Komturei has been a great success. The “Scenery and Light: Southern Landscapes” paintings were on display at the exhibition’s opening weekend in temperatures as high as those they were painted in!
Following a cordial welcome by Mrs Gisela Freier of the EifelArt Association, the town’s mayor Arnold Hoffmann opened the exhibition.
Amongst the many visitors welcomed by the mayor were his predecessor Bernd Schiffarth, the representative of Adenau municipality Jürgen de Temple, two former mayors Rolf Dieter Cremer and Hermann-Josef Romes as well as Christian Launer, President of the German-Maltese Association, and several other local politicians.

02.11.2015: Ute Herrmann designs “Bergische Löwen” for the Lions Club
As part of the celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of the “Lions Club Bergisch Gladbach/Bensberg” I am taking part in a fundraising art event.
I have coloured two full-scale replicas of the Bergisch Gladbach lion sculpture, to be presented at the anniversary celebration on 21 November 2015.
Money raised from the sale of the lions will contribute to the funding of a natural-grass sports ground for disabled athletes in Ommerborn-Sand.

21.7.2015: New Exhibition Location
My paintings are now on exhibition at a location very close to my studio. At Claudia Degenkolb and Bernd Machmer’s country inn “Landgasthaus Sonne” in Overath-Marialinden, you can enjoy excellent German country cuisine surrounded by my paintings, or you can just walk in “to have a look around...”.

Don't you just love the glorious weather we are enjoying at the moment?

02.6.2015: Weilburg Art Prize
In 2015, the city of Weilburg has offered an art prize for all painting disciplines. More than 200 artists have applied with two paintings each. Out of the more than 400 paintings, 30 have been selected for an exhibition in the "Kleines Kabinett" in the Bergbau- und Stadtmuseum Weilberg from 13 June to 5 July 2015.
Among the exhibits is my painting "Ginster vor Murs". Winner of the art prize is Martina Czeran from Usingen.

24.3.2015: Car Meets Art
Starting 18. April 2015, you can see some of my paintings along with tableaux of my father, Conrad Herrmann at the car dealership Autohaus Kuhl in Overath. With the exhibition themed "Car Meets Art" Kuhl celebrates their 50th company anniversary.
On the occasion of the "Overather Frühling", the exhibition rooms will be open to the public on Sunday, 19. April 2015.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to be, for the second time, a part of the "Oktoberfest" in Midtjyllands Kunst Center in Denmark. Several artists of the gallery painted and worked on site so that visitors could not only admire a large number of different works but could also watch the paintings come to life.
Many of the Danish visitors used the opportunity to look over their favourite artist's shoulder and to surprise them by spontaneously buying not only small but also larger works of art.

During my time in Provence over the past few weeks, I have been inspired to many new ideas and images. The lavender is in flower and the bees are busily collecting my favourite honey.
Having just returned, I am now finishing a number of paintings in my studio.

Just back from Vienna, I want to tell you about the successful and cheerful opening of my exhibition at the "Domgalerie Kolesa" in Austria. This is the first time that my paintings are featured in a solo exhibition in Austria.
Many visitors enjoyed the southerly themes with their bright colours. The light of summer captured in the paintings made people smile and touched their souls.
